There was a face to face between Neymar and PSG’s sporting director Leonardo, according to Le Parisien.
They met at the training ground and talked for a few minutes. Leonardo brought up Neymar’s delay of one week linking up with the squad for pre-season and threatened him with punishment. He wanted to meet Neymar personally after some weeks apart with the Brazilian pushing for a move away.
Le Parisien say the dialogue was respectful but that the director reminded Neymar that he must follow the rules like everyone else at the club. Neymar will likely be fined. The conversation was brief and the player then went to the gym to work out. He will have a full medical this week and will not start working with his team-mates for a while as he recovers from injury.
In Paris there is a lot of anger at Neymar’s behaviour and comments about his best moment being the 6-1 win for Barca over PSG. More worrying is his desire to leave, which he has told the club.
