Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was quizzed about his future just minutes after winning the UEFA Champions League on Saturday night.
The Italian stopper had played a leading role in getting PSG to the final in Munich. He kept out two penalty kicks in a shootout win over Liverpool in the round of 16, before making a further 14 saves to help PSG get past two more English teams in Aston Villa and Arsenal.
But most of the action on Saturday night was around the goal at the opposite end of the Allianz Arena to Donnarumma, as PSG thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to record the biggest margin of victory in Champions League final history.
After two goals from Desire Doue plus further strikes by Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu had put Inter to the sword, Donnarumma told Sky Italia on the pitch: 'New deal or leaving? We will see what happens… I don't know.
'It's time to enjoy this magic season now. I will go on holiday and then we will see.'
That magic season ended with PSG completing a remarkable treble by adding European glory to their domestic triumphs in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.
Donnarumma has now won a total of 10 trophies in his four seasons as a PSG player, but it is unclear whether he will still be at the Parc des Princes at the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
His current contract runs until June 2026 and PSG are keen to extent it.
But Manchester City are widely reported to be keen on bringing him to the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola known to be an admirer of his prowess both as a shot-stopper and as a ball-playing keeper.
If a new contract cannot be agreed this summer then it is thought that PSG might consider selling Donnarumma to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
But the prospect of losing such an elite player for free could perhaps be softened by the fact that he arrived without a transfer fee when he joined PSG from AC Milan in June 2021.

I hope you know this last two seasons you mentioned, he (Guardiola) convinced Barnardo to stay cos he is very important figure in his team so do you expect him to swap a player he begged to stay for a new player he needs to start afresh with
Yeah I know he was much important as for that time but my suggestion is why didn’t he make an offer for Donnarumma when he was not too much needed as for this time
