Foot Mercato are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in re-signing Moussa Diaby (23) after having sold the French winger to Bayer Leverkusen back in 2019.
Diaby, a PSG academy product, departed the Parc des Princes for €15m. He has since flourished, and has nine France caps to his name. For his club, Diaby has 13 goals and nine assists in 37 appearances in all competitions this season. That form is capturing the attention of some of Europe’s elite, according to Foot Mercato.
Multiple Italian and English teams have registered an interest in the young French winger. However, PSG are also interested in repatriating a player they sold just four years ago. PSG and Luís Campos were in the market for a winger during the January transfer window but failed to bring in an extra body. One of the players that Les Parisiens attempted to sign was Olympique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki (18), and L’Équipe report that PSG retain their interest in the young playmaker.
Should Diaby make the move, he won’t come cheap as he has a contract that runs until 2025, and the intense competition for his signature could drive up his price further.
