The Parisians are looking to reach their second Champions League final. To do this, they will have to overcome the 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

Paris Saint Germain are looking to book their second Champions League final this Tuesday, in a momentous match against Dortmund in which they will have to turn around the 1-0 deficit at Signal Iduna Park (Tuesday, 7 May 2024. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET/ 12 noon PT.).

The Parisians will try to emulate the comeback of 2020, before the pandemic, when they beat the German team 2-0 in Paris after having succumbed 2-1 in the first leg.

Luis Enrique could switch things up with respect to the first match. Starting with the defence, the manager is forced to put a centre-back after Lucas Hernandez’s torn ligament was confirmed. In the last few hours Danilo’s chances have gained strength, due to his experience and his solidity in aerial duels, but it is also not ruled out that Beraldo, who played in place of the Frenchman in Dortmund, is a starter.

Will Kylian Mbappé play for PSG against Dortmund?

The other piece of the puzzle that the Asturian coach has to fit is the position of Kylian Mbappé. The forward did not have his best game in Dortmund as a centre-forward and it is not ruled out that Luis Enrique could relocate him on the left to bring in a ‘9′: Gonçalo Ramos or Kolo Muani. The rest of the team should be similar to the one that lost in Germany.

The midfield should be made up of Fabián, Vitinha and Zaïre-Emery, although a late surprise from Luis Enrique is not ruled out, either to introduce Kang-in Lee or Asensio, two fast and direct players with the ball. Without doubt, it will be an eleven that, from the first minute, will go out to turn the tie around.

The Champions League semifinal second-leg clash between PSG and Borussia Dortmund will be played on Tuesday, 7 May 2024. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET/ 12 noon PT.
