Paris Saint-Germain's scheduled Ligue 1 encounter with Montpellier has been postponed amid security fears as the 'gillet jaune' protests are ongoing in the French capital.
The match was programmed to start at 17:00CET at Parc des Princes, but French League (LFP) has indicated that following a request from the local police, they have agreed to push the fixture back to a later date.
"Following a request from the Prefecture of Police, the LFP has postponed the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier HSC," a statement reads.
"The Commission of Competitions of the LFP will fix another date for the match."

There are protests happening in France regarding high costs-of-living for a few weeks. The situation has got a bit worse there and now the government is mulling about imposing a state of emergency.

French people sure love protesting which is generally good (if they're reasonable) but unfortunately at times it gets violent too
