Just as in their previous away game, Chelsea were involved in a five-goal thriller but this time they prevailed against Crystal Palace.
Match Reports
Chelsea climbed to third place in the Premier League with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday.
Frank Lampard's Champions League hopefuls surged ahead with goals from Olivier Giroud and Christian Pulisic, before Wilfried Zaha hit back in stunning fashion.
Giroud's opener came after just six minutes as the visitors capitalised on the misfortune of former Chelsea player Gary Cahill.

Match Events
6' GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea (Giroud)
Cahill pulls up down the Palace left and Willian is left in all sorts of space to pick out Giroud on the edge of the six-yard box. The Frenchman sweeps the ball into the far corner to give Chelsea an early lead.
8' Cahill subbed off with thigh injury
27' GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-2 Chelsea (Pulisic)
A thumping finish from Pulisic gives the visitors a two-goal lead. Willian exchanges passes with Giroud and plays in Pulisic to his left. Ward shows Pulisic down the line but the angle does not matter - the American hammers the ball past Guaita at his near post before he can even react.
32' SAVE! Guaita denies Willian's effort
34' GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-2 Chelsea (Zaha)
Zaha picks up the ball a good 30 yards from goal, brings it forward slightly and belts a wonderstrike past Kepa. The Chelsea keeper perhaps could have done more to stop it, but my word that is quite some strike from Zaha.
71' GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-3 Chelsea (Abraham)
That should do it! Abraham comes off the bench to give Chelsea some breathing space with an impressive finish. Fellow substitute Loftus-cheek lifts the ball into his team-mate's path and Abraham threads it into the far corner.
72' GOAL! Crystal Palace 2-3 Chelsea (Benteke)
It is game on again at Selhurst Park! Van Aanholt gets to the ball ahead of Christensen and spots Benteke alongside him, setting the Belgium striker up for a simple finish.
Line-ups
Crystal Palace XI: Cahill, Dann, McArthur, Benteke, Guaita, Ward, Van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Jordan Ayew, Zaha, Meyer
Chelsea XI: Willian, Azpilicueta, Giroud, Barkley, Zouma, Kepa, Christensen, Mount, Pulisic, Reece James, Gilmour

Nearly got a heart attack watching the end of the match. Our players have zero game management. We need to get rid of some of these players with bottling mentality. Reece James was poor defensively. He did some things right today but just hasn't been at his best yet since the restart. Christensen is weak and just awful at reading the play. He nearly cost us the match. Kepa should and probably will be sold in the summer. We made a blunder signing right there. Azpilicueta was poor by his standards. Zouma was the saviour today and deserves the Man of the Match. Outstanding defending despite having to deal with the crap players around him. The front 3 were superb. Mount pulled the strings brilliantly. Barkley also put in a shift both offensively and defensively. Nobody should be questioning his place in the team when he puts in this level of performance. Gilmour did a fantastic job to replace Kantรฉ, better than anyone would have expected although he was sloppy with his passing a bit but his influence grew into the game with every minute. I still think we need to be more clinical with our chances. Hopefully the arrival of Werner next season can change that. The final few games will be difficult but the players need to improve their mentality if they want UCL next season. We've got to earn it the hard way. Need some players at the back to step up seriously ๐๐ป

Sadly he will go unnoticed as this fanbases biggest scapegoat currently but I'm so happy for Tammy. He may have had some awful form recently and garnered a lot of disrespect but his goal today is hopefully 1 of many to come as it should have instilled confidence in him once again to go on and show the fanbase that they are wrong about writing him off and that he can be a very important player in our future and an integral member of the squad. Reminds me of Lukaku when we first got him so much talent and at 1 point did struggle but now has become a top striker, Tammy could go down a similar growth path. I want the best for this young man with all the unwarranted and unnecessary hate hes got he is still very much our top scorer and an integral member of the squad even if hes not the first choice in the team. Please remember this is the guys first time playing for Chelsea in the top flight ever so let's put some faith in him and back him because hes not a bad player by any means. Giroud is a world cup winner so please stop acting as if Tammy got benched by someone inexperienced and is suddenly terrible because that isnt the case, he lost his place to a world cup winner and the leagues best hold up striker. We shouldnt use our players against each other people do it to Tammy with Giround and to Odoi with Pulisic, let them all grow together instead if creating these almost toxic comparisons to destroy the other players, especially in the case of young inexperienced ones. Let's let Tammy grow and prove everyone wrong in their doubts and to help the team and squad. Again I'm very happy he broke his drought, must have hurt the haters to see him get that goal...

Cant believe people wanted Zouma out the side and even questioned his ability. King Kurt deserves some respect on his name cos despite the 2 goals he wasnt at fault for either and when he did have to stop the opposition he did it perfectly. I never again want to hear that Christensen got better composure because Zouma composure in pressure situations is incredible he almost always gets it right. That last ditch tackle at the end of the game sums up why this guy will be a starter even when we sign new defenders. If Zouma goes back to where he belongs in the right side if centre back the right side of our defence will be solid. Sadly hes the only player who can play left centre back which is also testament to the fact that he is our best centre back as the only one of our CBs that can play in both centre back slots. Even if he doesnt look fancy on the ball, he very much is great on the ball and since he come into the side and before the break when he came into the team, we won those games...
