Real Madrid were busy during the summer, with four major signings added to Xabi Alonso’s squad. And aside from Lucas Vazquez and Luka Modric, there were no significant exits, which was not expected to be the case for the vast majority of the transfer window.
Specifically, it was widely reported that Rodrygo could leave Real Madrid, with the 24-year-old having attracting a lot of interest from Premier League clubs – specifically, Arsenal and Manchester City. But ultimately, he stayed at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he will remain for at least one more season.
Rodrygo had been open to offers during the summer, although his stance changed as the deadline approached. But that could have been tested by Paris Saint-Germain, as Fabrizio Romano (via MD) has revealed that the European champions had lined up a move for the Brazil international.
PSG had eyed Rodrygo as their preferred target to replace Bradley Barcola, in the event that the 23-year-old had left. He attracted interest from Man City, as well as Liverpool and Bayern Munich, but ultimately, he also did not depart.
Rodrygo’s situation has settled for the next few months at least, but if he continues to struggle to start matches regularly, there is every chance that he does move on in 2026. The likes of Man City are bound to retain their interest in his services, and a pursuit could be stepped up from January.
It will be interesting to see how Rodrygo gets on at Real Madrid over the course of the 2025-26 season. He will be desperate for regular playing time given that the World Cup takes place next summer, but with Vinicius Junior ahead of him in the pecking order on the left wing, he may struggle for prominence.

Just because you hate Pep and Man City, why don't you mention Nunez, Chamberlain or Alcantara at Liverpool, Jesus or Vera at Arsenal, Antony, Rasmus, Onana etc at ManU, Sterling, Mudryk, Nkunku, Kepa and dozens of flops at ManU and Chelsea? Why singling out Man City? Pep is a master at tactics and transfers as well.
I want to tell you ine thing, grealish was not a just another player like the players you mentioned.at astonvilla He was at one point one of the best in the world, the last season at Astonvilla,he was unstoppable. But the way he downgraded at mancity is really hard to see as a neutral football fan.he was that good……Grealish could have joined any other club and they would allow him to flourish….Arsenal was the best option for him ,they needed a main player

First of all he's not a master of tactics...he heavily favoured possession based tiki-taka type football was obliterated by Liverpool & more specifically Chamberlain in their first meeting by Klopp...now he has abandoned tiki taka for more realistic tactics like heavy possession with overloading opponents half - It's not exactly anything new...the system collapsed when Rodri got injured....as for the masters of transfer, Pep is more indebted to players who are signed before him like Kompany, Aguero, Silva, KDB, Yaya Toure etc. he had uneasy tense relationships with some of them. Pep is the Only manager in history who spent 2 billion dollars in transfers...his success is more tied to money than tactics...

Now arsenal have eze Spurs have xavi simons United have cunha Liverpool have everyone… And Man city is not a club for players like rodigo who thrives on brazilean flair..look at what happened to grealish So he better moves to Serie A as bundesliga and french league is not a top league anymore. They just have one elite club in their league.Rodigo better join Ac milan ,Intermilan,or even juventus….if any departures happen
