Parker: The absence of Mbeumo and Amad will paralyze the right wing of Man Utd

Former Manchester United player Paul Parker recently gave an interview to the media, in which he said that Mboumo has become indispensable under Manchester United manager Amorin, and he is worried that Manchester United will face difficulties during the period when the forward is away for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Manchester United signed Mbeumo from Brentford for 75 million euros this summer, aiming to revitalize the team's underperforming offensive line from last season. Alongside Mbeumo, Sheszko and Matheus Cunha also joined Old Trafford, but the Cameroonian international is the quickest to adapt to the new club among them.

The 26-year-old forward has scored 5 goals (the most in the team) and provided 1 assist in 12 Premier League appearances. However, with the Africa Cup of Nations approaching next month, Manchester United is preparing for the departures of Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Mazraoui.

Former Manchester United defender Parker believes that, considering the key role Mboumo has proven to play in the early stages of this season, his departure could be a "nightmare" for Amorim.

"When Mboumo leaves to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, Manchester United simply won't be able to cope with his absence. They definitely won't be able to," he said. "There's no one in the team whose level is close to his, so they'll struggle after he leaves."

"His absence will be a huge loss, and I can't imagine how the team will function without him. He is one of the best players in the league and definitely the best player in Manchester United."

"His performance on the right flank is extremely intimidating, but who can replace him? Amad Diallo is also leaving the team. Will they let Mason Mount or Zirkzee play that position? Oh my god, I can't even imagine what that would look like."

Park also believes that Amad's departure will also be a blow to Manchester United, adding, "Amad's absence will also be a huge loss."

"Manchester United may have to change their entire tactical approach, as without these two players, the right flank will pose no threat."

"Amad is a huge threat, and we can see that in every game. No one can break through opponents like he does, so no one can replace him."

"The absence of these two players simultaneously would be a nightmare. A real nightmare. I'm not very confident that other players can step up to their level, which is usually an expected requirement at a big club like Manchester United."

The tournament regulations require clubs to release players two weeks before the first match of their national teams, which means Amorim may not be able to use these three players in the game against Wolves on December 9. However, Manchester United is planning to communicate with the national football associations of the players in order to postpone their departure dates.

Head coach Amorim confirmed at a recent press conference that the team is in communication with the national football associations of three players, hoping to postpone their departure time to ensure the team can smoothly navigate the intensive schedule in early December.

"We are aware of the relevant regulations of the tournament, but we are working hard to negotiate with various football associations, hoping to allow the players to stay a bit longer to help the team complete the crucial matches," Amorim said. "However, this is not something we can decide unilaterally, and the final outcome will depend on the progress of the negotiations."

Manchester United will play away against Crystal Palace on Sunday, hoping to bounce back from their frustrating defeat to ten-man Everton on Monday. Amorim's team currently sits tenth in the league table, but they are only three points behind the top four.
