Pedri is preparing to join up with the Barcelona squad once the season with Las Palmas concludes, and aims to stay in the first team.
The teenager was signed last summer from the Canary Islanders before being loaned back for the past season, yet he now has high hopes of succeeding with the Blaugrana.
"My objective is to get through pre-season and try to stay in the first-team," he told the club's official channels.
"Yes, I feel more pressure, but it's good for me because if you don't have that pressure you don't perform to your best.
"You can't let the pressure affect you."
Pedri spoke about his love for the club even prior to signing.
"I've been a Barcelona fan practically since the day I was born, and all my family support them," he said.
"I've always watched the games. My grandfather founded the Tenerife Tegueste Barcelona supporters club.
"The Camp Nou is such a great arena and I've always dreamed of walking out that tunnel and hope to now do so in Barcelona's colours.
He's often been compared to Andres Iniesta and admits he was among his idols.
"I always used to watch Iniesta and now it's Frenkie De Jong," he stated.
