Peter Schmeichel believes Tielemans changed the momentum of the game and is genuinely happy for Carrick, who badly needed this victory.
"Tielemans came off the bench and changed the entire game. It's the best performance I've seen from him in a Manchester United shirt, and I'm really happy for him. He took control of midfield, drove the team forward and showed real leadership. It was a fantastic display."
"In my opinion, this will be a significant turning point," he added. "These players now understand what it means to be a Manchester United player and to compete on these big European nights. Coming back from 2-0 down is exactly the kind of character Manchester United have shown over the years. I'm genuinely happy for Carrick; he really needed this win."
