Neymar has received a lot of criticism since joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, particularly since he tried engineering a failed move back to Barcelona last summer, and former France international Emmanuel Petit has voiced his opinions on the Brazilian forward.
Petit explains that when he played with world-class flair players, such as Zinedine Zidane or Youri Djorkaeff, he was willing to work harder to make up for their defensive lapses in concentration, however he doesn't see that same talent with Neymar.
"When I played with Zidane or Djorkaeff, I knew they were able to decide a game on their own, so we accepted their defensive neglect," Petit told RMC Sport.
"We accepted it and did our job because we knew they could win with a flash of genius.
"This is not the case, at all, with Neymar."
The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder continued his rant about Neymar.
"This guy plays for him, and only for him," Petit stated.
"Put yourself in the place of the boys in the PSG dressing room, who live for months with the whims of this guy who sh*ts on the club and their supporters; he has no respect."
