At the half-time whistle, Gerard Pique waited for referee Jesus Gil Manzano in the tunnel to complain about the sending off of Clement Lenglet.
The Barcelona defender protested to the linesmen until the man in the middle arrived.
"It's clear," Pique said, in images shown by Vamos.
"You really think that it's intentional?
"That he [Pere Pons] fouls him [Clement Lenglet] and then he...?"
Throughout, Gil Manzano responds with gestures, as if to show Lenglet's movement with the arm.
"Listen to me, he brings out his elbow at the end and he knows it," the referee said.
"It's not that the elbow is like this, he brings it out..."
The conversation ended without Pique any more relaxed about the situation.
"Truly... History speaks for itself," the defender said, in what is not the first clash he has had with the referee.
After Gil Manzano once refereed a clash between Villarreal and Real Madrid, Pique tweeted angrily.
"[Bad officiating caused an] eight-point difference against these two teams. Screenshots are from Madrid-based media," he said on Twitter in February 2017.
The message was clear, with four screen shots, two from MARCA, about refereeing controversies in the games that Barcelona and Real Madrid had played at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Then there was also the Copa del Rey semi-final of the same year, when Gil Manzano sent off both Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez, whilst there was also debate over a sending off of Neymar in a game against Malaga.
Another chapter has been added to Gil Manzano's history with Barcelona, and Pique clearly won't forget any time soon.

everybody give their sempathy to Ronaldo when he received red against Valencia but nobody said it isn't fair to give langlet red. langlet don't deserve red card. this is pure ref fault after using the VAR. I don't know why VAR is introduced in la liga. I think it is to give real la liga title without playing.

Pique should know that the use of a VAR is to signal voluntary and involuntary faults of players and when the camera is consulted and a plyer is found guilty, there is no turning back... why tell the Linesman that the crime was not voluntary... why would Langlet do that in the first place?
