Mauricio Pochettino has been pictured for the first time since his sacking as manager of Tottenham.
The 47-year-old was given the boot after a period of intense scrutiny with the team, then languishing back in 14th place in the Premier League after just three wins under his helm this term.
With constant speculation floating around about the destination of his future, Pochettino has taken his time off to return to where it all began.
He returned back to Newell's Old Boys in Argentina - the first club he ever played for between 1989 and 1994.
On his arrival he was greeted by current members and staff of the club and was presented with a framed shirt.
During a five year spell as a club, Pochettino who played in defence, scored eight goals in 153 appearances.
He later went on to have spells at Espanyol, Paris-Saint-Germain and Bordeaux before he stepped into the world of management.
Pochettino had been manager of Tottenham since 2014, and after a five and a half year spell in charge, you would not blame him for wanting an extended rest before taking charge of another big team.
However since his dismissal he has already been linked to many top clubs across Europe.
It has previously been reported that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all possibilities that could have manager vacancies open in the future.
He has also been linked with the vacant Arsenal job, with Tottenham's north London rivals reportedly interested in swooping for Pochettino.
Jermaine Jenas claimed on Saturday that the Argentine will look elsewhere before considering the Arsenal job, saying 'I think the job he did at Tottenham puts him in another bracket.'
