Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is one of the candidates for the Arsenal job after Unai Emery's sacking, but he has apparently been told to hold off by his friends.
According to The Telegraph, sources close to Pochettino believe he should take 'a proper break' and 'wait for a better job.'
Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, or Manchester United are all possibilities that could have manager vacancies in the future, and Pochettino may want to hold out for them.

With the current quality of players now in the team, no smart manager will want take Arsenal job just to put his reputation at risk. Arsenal lacks qualities in many areas, and even the good players are showing lack of character, leadership and fighting spirit during tough situations. And hence, realistically, they can't compete with the biggest European clubs at moment. Manager will prefer a better progects in other clubs with a bigger ambition.

I think he should listen to his friends. At the moment, Arsenal job is a high risk one. They can only attract a quality manager with evidence of commitment to a big project. I am sure they have none, one of the reasons Unai failed woefully

Arsenal job is the easiest one at the moment because what is needed is to bring back the team to top 4. Take arsenal to the champions league and you’re good enough. Friends are misleading poch.

I honestly don't see Poch landing the Madrid nor the Bayern posts, those are elite clubs that require proper winning records. Even the Man Utd job would not be his had it not been for the Ole failures. Utd also chases trophies but the coming in of Moyes was the problem

I’ve said this before and I will say it again I don’t want neither Poch nor Rodgers because they won’t last so long at Arsenal what we want is more than what they gives, I’d preferred serial winner like Ancelotti then he can groom Ljunberg into a proper manager or if we want to gamble we should give the job to Ljunberg/Arteta/Nuno Santon not one of the mentioned above they will all lose their jobs like Emery. Good ebening guys

Poch won nothing at Tottenham. Zero trophies. He isn't an elite coach to take a job at Arsenal. All he did at Tottenham is finish above Arsenal and fans were not happy with happy. Arsenal fans who have seen glorious days in the past cannot be happy to have Poc whose desire will be to finish above Tottenham. I wonder people who mislead him that his stock has risen. Really, risen by winning nothing?
