Pogba has to be dragged away by Carrick after reacting to West Ham fans

Paul Pogba had to be dragged away by Michael Carrick after he reacted to a torrent of abuse from West Ham fans after Manchester United's win at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The French star was walked off the pitch following United's dramatic 2-1 win when a group of home fans tried to provoke him.

In a video clip of the confrontation, one fan can be heard telling Pogba to 'shut your f**king mouth' before someone shouts 'f*** you.'

Pogba had already stopped to gesture to another set of fans closer to the pitch before moving on and reacting to further abuse.

He handled it well, appearing to stare into the crowd with his mouth open in response to the 'shut your mouth' jibes.

In the end, United coach Carrick says 'let's go Paul' and drags him down the tunnel back to the dressing room.

There was a dramatic finale in the Premier League clash as United clung on to earn three important points.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side fell behind to Said Benrahma's deflected effort after 30 minutes but levelled through Cristiano Ronaldo just five minutes later.

Then, with seconds of normal time remaining, Jesse Lingard, whose career was revived by a loan spell at West Ham last season, scored a stunning goal.

The drama wasn't over, however, with referee Martin Atkinson consulting the VAR monitor deep into stoppage time to award West Ham a penalty after Luke Shaw's handball.

The Hammers brought on their penalty taker Mark Noble but his kick was saved by David de Gea to win the visitors all three points.

That late disappointment seemed to rile some of the home support with Pogba one target of their frustration as he left the field.
