Pogba reveals Man Utd are in shock after Tottenham defeat

Paul Pogba has revealed that Manchester United were in shock after their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Monday night.

The French World Cup star believes United should taken something from a game that they dominated in the first half.

Pogba said: 'Even we don't understand what happened. We started the game really well, we conceded two goals in the second half.

'It's bizarre. We were determined, we started well, and in the end we lost 3-0. It's a shock,' he continued.

"We have to keep going, we musn't worry. We must work.

'We are still Manchester United and we won't give up on anything.'

Pogba handed back the United captaincy to fit-again Antonio Valencia for the Spurs game at Old Trafford but was dominant as Jose Mourinho's team created chances in the first 45 minutes.

But once Harry Kane gave the Londoners the lead early in the second half the game ran away from the home team.

'The first goal was a real blow,' admitted Pogba. 'We didn't understand why, because we had the game in our hands.

'One goal, two... we kept pushing, we had chances, and we conceded the third.'

Despite United's second defeat in two Premier League games, Pogba joined his manager in thanking the fans for their support.

'The fans kept pushing us, they were really behind us,' he said.

'We feel really sorry for them, very disappointed, we wanted to do better. I think it was an undeserved defeat for us.

'In our desire, in everything we put into it. But football can be cruel. We just have to bounce back.

'It won't be easy, but it's just the start of the season. I prefer to start badly and end well than start well and finish badly.'
