Chelsea and the Metropolitan Police are investigating after an incident of alleged racist abuse was highlighted on social media on Saturday.
Twitter users highlighted a first-half incident when a supporter appeared to abuse Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.
A Chelsea spokesman said: 'We're aware of reports and video footage. We will investigate the matter and take the strongest possible action where necessary.'
The Met Police said: 'We are aware of a video circulating online in which it is claimed racial abuse was allegedly directed at a player at a Chelsea v Manchester City game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, December 8.
'We will review the footage to determine whether any offences have been committed.'
No arrests have been made, the Met added.

Racists are mostly haters who are jealous of people's skills... Sterling has been one of the best forwards in the PL this season

Unacceptable and uncalled for. I do not condone this at my favourite club and these are not our fans. I'm sure they were inserted into the mix to villify our club cos in all the games I've been to, I've never seen anything like that and we have plenty of international fans come to games and I'm of a different ethnic background myself. Even then, this is vile and unacceptable and not a representation of our fans. The Chelsea family is diverse, we aren't a fanbase that discriminates by colour or religion. Truly saddening and right after a win. No reason for this to happen and absolutely makes no sense since we won so there's not even aggression behind the action.... a real shame after a hard fought win....

Come on Chelsea!Let there be no place for these fools in our lovely game of football.Say no to racism. if it's proven, ban them for rest of their lives so they can be watching from their homes as they don't deserve to even watch from any public place.

Success is the best revenge, look at the picture closely, see who is reducing their life span.
