Atletico Madrid qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League after winning 3-1 in Porto in a feisty encounter that saw tensions boil over.

The reigning LaLiga champions knew only a win would keep their Champions League campaign alive and win they did, with Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa and Rodrigo De Paul scoring in a chaotic second half.

Atleti lost Luis Suarez to injury after just 13 minutes and had Yannick Carrasco sent off midway through the second half, before Wendell saw red for the hosts three minutes later.
