R.I.P.! 50-year-old Real Madrid fan dies of cardiac arrest at El Clásico

During the El Clásico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona on October 26, a fan suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and tragically died. The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Igal Brodkin, a member of the Israeli Real Madrid supporters' association, which confirmed the incident.

According to Brodkin's son, the tragedy occurred in the second half of the match, immediately after Mbappe missed a penalty. Witnesses stated that paramedics immediately attempted resuscitation but were unsuccessful. Brodkin was then rushed to Lapas Hospital, where he ultimately passed away several hours later.

The Israel Real Madrid Supporters Association issued a statement on social media: "We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Igal Brodkin. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during Sunday's El Clásico at the Bernabéu Stadium. Despite the swift efforts of paramedics, they were unable to save his life."

Witnesses also stated that they attempted to alert referee Soto Grado to the emergency, but the noise in the stadium went unnoticed, and the match continued. The Israel Real Madrid Supporters Association announced that a tribute ceremony will be held during the broadcast of Real Madrid's Champions League match against Liverpool to commemorate this passionate Real Madrid supporter.
