Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has sent a message to the club's board regarding the lack of depth in the first-team squad.
The 31-year-old's comments came after Barcelona's 1-1 draw away at Napoli on Tuesday night, which saw Sergio Busquets pick up a yellow card and Arturo Vidal receive a red, so they will both miss the return leg.
"Yes, but this was already known to those responsible," Rakitic said when asked about Barcelona not having a deep squad.
"The solution is what it is.
"Those of us who are here are going to join forces because we have a very important game in the return [leg]."
When looking at the balance of the game, the Croatian recognises that Barcelona knew it would be tough against Napoli.
"We knew it was going to be very difficult," Rakitic acknowledged.
"It's difficult to play against a team that closes down so much.
"We made one mistake and they scored."

Atletico Madrid squad is even shorter. Use your academy players like other clubs do.
