Rakitic and wife Raquel Mauri share their love in a jacuzzi 💘

Ivan Rakitic and Raquel Mauri showed their love to one another and to their followers on social media.

The Barcelona midfielder married Raquel Mauri in 2013 after meeting his then girlfriend shortly after making his move to Sevilla.

The pair met in the hotel where Mauri worked and Rakitic lived during his first three months in Seville while he looked for a house.

"Every morning I used to go down to the bar for a coffee or Fanta orange just to be able to see her," he said.

"The only I knew was that her name was Raquel, but she didn't speak a word of English and I didn't have any Spanish.

"Every morning I would say the same thing, good morning Raquel, a coffee and a Fanta orange please.

"I don't know how to explain it, sometimes you meet a person and you feel something completely different than what you are used to."

The Croatian explained that he tried to ask her out on a date between 20 and 30 times.

"I used to ask her out but she always had the excuse that she had to go home to sleep," he went on.

Mauri then eventually revealed why she wouldn't date him.

"You're a footballer and next year you could easily move country, so I'm sorry but it's a no," she said.

One day when Rakitic entered the hotel and seen that she wasn't working but having a drink with her sister, he immediately asked her to go for dinner, she said yes, and since then the pair have been together.

They have been together six years, married for four and have two children.

"It was the hardest thing I've done in my life, harder than winning the Champions League," he stated.
