Marcus Rashford is expecting to play a full part in Manchester United's pre-season programme when he reports to Carrington for training on Monday morning.
Rashford is returning to the club after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa following a fall-out with United boss Ruben Amorim.
United must decide whether Rashford can be re-integrated into the squad. Otherwise, they will have to sell him or agree another loan move, both of which would require the player's consent.
Sources close to Rashford say he has no issue returning to the club and will 'give 100 per cent' in training.
The 27-year-old expects to be fully involved in the club's pre-season schedule for as long as he remains a United player despite the uncertainty over his future.
After two weeks of fitness work at Carrington, Amorim's squad face their first friendly against Leeds in Stockholm on July 19 before going on tour to the US where they play West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.
Their final game is against Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.
It's understood that Rashford has been working with his personal trainers to stay fit during a three-week holiday near Marbella.
Whether he stays or more likely leaves Old Trafford this summer, it would appear to be in the best interests of both United and the player that Rashford has a good pre-season.
United value him at £40million although Rashford's £315,000-a-week salary will have to be factored into any negotiations.
His representatives held talks with Barcelona in May, but the Catalans may favour a loan move. There has also been speculation in Germany over interest from Bayern Munich.
It's understood that there has so far been no direct communication between United and the Rashford camp over talks with other clubs.
Nor has there been any contact between Amorim and Rashford after the United boss dropped the England star over his alleged attitude in training.
The situation mirrors that of Jadon Sancho who returned to United for pre-season a year ago after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag and going on loan to Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho played a full pre-season for United and even featured in the Community Shield before making a loan move to Chelsea on deadline day.
Chelsea have paid United a £5m penalty after deciding not to make the deal permanent, and Sancho is set to join Rashford at Carrington on Monday along with Antony and Tyrell Malacia who spent the second half of last season out on loan at Real Betis and PSV Eindhoven respectively.

Rashford Is Lazy Just Like Sancho. Antony And Maguire Are Perfect Examples To The Rest Of The Squad When It Comes To Pressure From The Club And Supporters. Garnacho Is Playful.

But he said he will never play for man UTD again. Small boy small mentality. Samuel eto'o said he rather sell puff puff than to play for Chelsea, he ended playing for Chelsea later. We don't even need rashford again in UTD shirt. United for Life. RIPP DIOGO JOTA
