Real Madrid legend Raul has taken his first training session as the club's youth coach on Thursday afternoon.
The former striker was promoted to coach the club's Cadete B side after earning his professional coaching badges earlier this summer.
Diego Nogales has been named as Raul's assistant and the former Real forward will also be working alongside Christian Hernando in the youth set-up.
Raul earned his relevant coaching badges earlier this year with the Spanish FA elite course that reserves places for former international players or those that have spent 10 years in La Liga.
Having returned to the club last year, where he spent 18 years on the books, Raul studied the Bernabeu outfit's youth set-up, taking in training sessions as well as travelling with the senior team.
He also spent time training with Tottenham in May as he worked towards becoming a fully-licensed coach.
The coaching course helped the former stars learn about topics including club management, nutrition, psychology, medicine, team building and more.
Following a year of training up Real Madrid's Cadete B side, Raul will then be free to obtain their UEFA Pro licence and move up to the top level.
Raul enjoyed an 18-year stint at Real as a player where he scored 323 goals in 741 appearances for the Spanish giants.
He also currently holds the record for most appearances at the club.
