After a remarkable transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois trained alongside his four other competitors only hours after his official press conference at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Belgian is training to prove himself worthy of being the starting keeper for Los Blancos against Keylor Navas (his primary competitor) as well as Kiko Casilla, Luca Zidane and Andriy Lunin.
The Costa Rican himself has had plenty of experience fighting for his position in the starting XI.
One of the hardest competitors Navas went up against was former captain Iker Casillas, who eventually left the club in 2015 for Porto.
With the Costa Rican between the sticks for the last three years, Real Madrid have been well taken care of.
Most importantly, with him in goal, they have yet to be eliminated from the UEFA Champions League having won the competition that constitutes the mythical essence of the club three years in a row.
For the 2018/2019 season, Courtois arrives to threaten Navas' reign.
This sort of situation is also not new for the Belgian who already had to face ousting another exceptionally talented keeper, Peter Cech.
Courtois is fully aware of his abilities after a World Cup which he chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament, helping his national team to achieve third place in the tournament; their best finish ever.
Los Blancos coach Lopetegui has yet to decide which of the five keepers will play in the UEFA Super Cup against Atletico Madrid on August 15.

Is this a goalkeeper party? What is Perez thinking? Selling on-field players and buying goalkeepers? This season Perez is probably drinking something stronger than alcohol. Or the weed has probably gotten stronger .
