Real Madrid 0-0 Vallecano: Los Blancos are held at home and remain 2nd place

  /  R47

Real Madrid relinquish their hold at the top of the La Liga table after they drew 0-0 at home to Rayo Vallecano.

Match Report

Madrid started brightly when Fede Valverde broke through on goal inside the first five minutes, only to see his effort saved well by Vallecano keeper Stole Dimitrievski.

Carlo Ancelotti's side completely dominated the remainder of the first half but despite three good chances falling to Joselu, and Bellingham blazing one over the bar, the match remained 0-0 going into the break.

Real continued pushed hard in the second half, with plenty of chances falling the way of Vinicius and Rodrygo but they couldn't find the finish.

The draw means Real fall to second in the La Liga table, as Girona replace them at the top.
