Who knows if Salah staying on would have made a difference, or if Mignolet had started over Karius would have prevented those silly mistakes from happening. Whatever the case or any hypotheticals, the better team won. Liverpool are a phenomenal, young squad lead by a true crusader in the modern football era. Congratulations to Madrid, and a nod to the boys of Liverpool for proving to the world that you don’t need a team of 100 million dollar players to become one of the best teams in the world, just dedication and leadership.

My final UCL thoughts for the season:
1. Liverpool started the game well, but lacked game management.
Madrid stuck around and picked the moments where they would impose themselves on the game, and they made it count.
2. It appears that whatsoever happens in a UCL game, Madrid would remain the last giant standing. [Comeon]
3. The injuries impacted the game, but I think Liverpool let themselves down after Salah went out. I expected Firminio to step up just the way brilliant Mane played.
4. The officiating was excellent. The goalkeeping on Liverpool's end was terrible. The kid needs a lot of people around him to keep his head up. [Sadtolook]
Looks like Madrid have a special way of making goalkeepers piss themselves.
5. Alexander Arnold is a star in the making. Wait, did you say he is a teenager?
6. Bale has still got the midas touch. He just shows how much quality this Real Madrid team has. Even the most maligned players can have that special moment when CR7 goes missing. [Comeon]
7. Well, since the officiating was excellent, what is the excuse now, our dear Barca fans?! Did Madrid pay Karius?
