Real Madrid are reportedly considering offering Raphael Varane to Liverpool as part of a deal to take Sadio Mane in the opposite direction.
Varane is understood to be weighing up his future in the Spanish capital and could push for an exit at the end of the season.
The World Cup winner is thought to favour a move to Manchester United, who are known to be in the market for a new central defender and have been heavily linked with Varane in the past.
However, The Guardian claims that Madrid might instead offer Varane to Liverpool in an attempt to aid negotiations for Mane.
The European champions have reportedly rekindled their interest in the Senegal international following the return of Zinedine Zidane as manager, viewing the Liverpool attacker as a more affordable option than Eden Hazard or Christian Eriksen.
Varane joined Madrid in 2011, going on to make more than 250 appearances for the club across all competitions

Tbh I don't want Mane to break the best trio. FSM is the best trio right now. I know how it feel when Neymar Left us. This will be the worst deal for Liverpool. I think Van Dijk Is enough to defend single handedly 😅. Another reason why I suggest Liverpool not to go with this deal is remember UCL final 😉

No doubt Varane and Van Dijk would be a deadly duo but if it means we need to brake our trio, The answer is big NO! Klopp has clearly been backed by Edwards and team to build a team and he wont sell unless and untill Perez will make an offer which we cannot refuse at all. I think we are happy with Gomes but yes, he is not too reliable cuz of injuries! We are still in market for a quality centreback but i dont think we would trade players of a quality of Mane to get a centreback even if it is the World and European champion Varane.
