Match Events
14' GOAL! Real Madrid 1-0 Al Ain (Modric)
GOALLLLLLLLLL!!! MODRIC PUTS MADRID AHEAD!!! 1-0!!! The Spanish side take the lead as the midfielder curls a crisp strike into the net. Al Ain afford the midfielder space and time on the edge of the box and he bends his effort beyond Eisa into the back of the net. A fine strike.
60' GOAL! Real Madrid 2-0 Al Ain (Llorente)
WHAT A GOAL!! LLORENTE DOUBLES MADRID'S LEAD! 2-0!!! The midfielder scores a stunner from the edge of the box to put Los Blancos in control of the contest. Kroos' corner is cleared, but Llorente meets the ball first time 20 yards from goal and connects with his effort on the half-volley. It travels through a crowd of players before finding the bottom corner. A super strike.
78' GOAL! Real Madrid 3-0 Al Ain (Ramos)
GOALLLLLLLLLLL!!!! RAMOS HEADS HOME! MADRID 3-0!!! Los Blancos are surely on their way to their third Club World Cup triumph in a row. Ramos scores their third goal of the evening as he rises highest in the box from Modric's corner and he buries his header past the hand of Eisa into the top corner. An emphatic headed finish from the Madrid skipper.

91' OWN GOAL! Real Madrid 4-1 Al Ain (Yahia Nader)
GOALLLLLLL!!! NADER PUTS THE BALL INTO HIS OWN NET!!! 4-1!! Agony for Nader as he cannot help put place the ball into his own net after Vinicius' strike hit his leg and was diverted towards the target. The Brazilian did carve open the Al Ain defence down the left flank and fired at goal. His shot deflected off the defender and into the net. Madrid have a fourth to cap off their win.
Match Report
Luka Modric's wonderful goal helped seal Club World Cup history as Real Madrid beat Al Ain 4-1 to become the first team to win the tournament three years in a row.
Santiago Solari's first silverware since being appointed as Julen Lopetegui's successor was set up by Modric's first-half strike as Madrid comfortably triumphed in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, moving past rivals Barcelona with their fourth title in the competition.
The Croatia midfielder, who added the Ballon d'Or crown to his World Cup Golden Ball this month, bent the opener into the bottom-left corner from 25 yards, with Marcos Llorente also drilling home from outside the box before a Sergio Ramos header extended Real's lead.
Al Ain had a goal from Caio Fernandes ruled out for offside when they only trailed by one and Zoran Mamic's side - who replied through an excellent Tsukasa Shiotani header - can be proud of their efforts on home soil as massive underdogs against the European champions, despite Madrid adding a late fourth through Yahia Nader's own goal.

The club world cup is not so competitive. There's a gulf between the leagues in terms of standard of the game and the quality of players in the continents' respective leagues so there's always going to be in balance. This competition isn't making much sense and there's need to restructure it.

Congrats to RM for their achievements. I do think they should add more top teams to this tournament though. Seems like a free trophy for whoever wins UCL. So by winning UCL you are adding two trophies instead of one.
