Real Madrid have confirmed a 'tribute ceremony' for captain Marcelo will take place on Monday afternoon ahead of his departure from the club.
With his contract expiring on June 30, Marcelo is set to become a free agent and is linked with a number of European clubs including Fenerbahce and Marseille.
In a statement on their website, the club confirmed: 'Real Madrid C. F. would like to announce that tomorrow, Monday 13 June, at 1pm (CET), there will be an institutional farewell and tribute ceremony for our captain Marcelo at Real Madrid City, which will be presided over by club president Florentino PΓ©rez.
'After this event, Marcelo will address the media in the press room at Real Madrid City.'
The full-back is expected to receive the same treatment Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos were awarded upon their Bernabeu departure - celebrating all of the trophies he has won over the last 16 seasons.
Marcelo, who has been at the club since 2007, was granted his fairytale ending after lifting his fifth Champions League crown on a magical night in Paris for Los Blancos last month.
After the game against Liverpool in the Champions League final, Marcelo said: 'It's an incredible emotion because it's my last game at Real Madrid.'
In total, the Brazilian has made 545 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring 38 and assisting 103 from the left-back position.
Signed as a replacement for the legendary Roberto Carlos, Marcelo has gone on to carve his name into history as one of the best full-backs to play the game - proven by his impressive trophy haul.
The 34-year-old will receive a more affectionate send-off than his team-mate Gareth Bale - who's exit was confirmed via a statement on the club's website.
Despite helping Los Blancos win five Champions League titles and being described as a 'club legend' in the statement, Bale received no special farewell and instead waved goodbye to fans during their trophy parade.
The Wales international joined Los Blancos for a then-world-record Β£86million in 2013 before going on to win nine major trophies with the Spanish outfit.

I want to make something clear every football club respect their legends...others will ask why is bale not getting a farewell, remember during his time has a player of real Madrid he was disrespectful towards the club as well as Isco who refused to play ,most legends who left real Madrid without a farewell disrespected the club first I would have been mad at the club if they organized a farewell for bale ,he was unprofessional and annoying..as for Marcelo even tho he wasn't playing he was respectful, honest and calm about the situation... respect and honour is reciprocal, ....am happy Madrid have recognized Marcelo..he is legend and he will always be welcome back to Bernarbue
