Real Madrid are looking at possible replacements for Zinedine Zidane but the French coach’s fate is far from sealed despite reports in Spain that Joachim Low has already been lined-up.
Zidane’s Real Madrid failed to beat second division Numancia on Tuesday night although the 2-2 second-leg draw did not prevent them from making it into Friday’s quarter-final draw.
The team’s league form has been poor and after they lost at home to Barcelona and could only draw away with Celta Vigo they dropped to 16 points behind the Catalan league leaders. They are fourth-placed and only one point closer to the top than to the drop zone.
In the Champions League they were beaten convincingly at Wembley by Tottenham and failed to top the group leaving them with a very difficult last-16 qualifier against Paris Saint-Germain on February 14 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But Zidane has credit in the bank after guiding the team to an unprecedented five trophies in 2017 and contrary to reports emanating from Madrid and echoed in Barcelona no decision has been taken over his future.
German coach Löw has been a Madrid target in the past but has always preferred to continue with the national team. His current contract runs until 2020 and it would cost Madrid to buy him out of it.
Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte have been also been linked to the job. Thomas Tuchel and Unai Emery have been targeted in the past.

Ferguson had bad seasons too,as long as they're in CL position, why not keep him, give him funds to rebuild and make him Real's Ferguson

Ridiculous that a man who brought back to back Champions League titles and La Liga is under pressure and in danger of being sacked. Real Madrid should be grateful in having Zidane as their manager. It's not like they're in danger of being relegated or worse.

let me tell you guys if Madrid wants to get zidane fired what you say here or post can't stop it, the only thing that can stop it is for zidane to start getting good result, if not you will realize that as a Madrid fans your opinion Doe's not count when it comes to sacking a manager.

Joachim Low would be perfect match for Real with his counter attacking and fast paced style of football matching Real for which Real Madrid has also been known for years. But i really don't think its the time for Zidane to go as he had build the kind of determination, team spirit and never give up attitude in Real madrid players last year as not seen in recent history. I know Real are suffering this season and this has led to losing what we all build last year but instead of replacing Zidane we need Zidane to change his tactics and bring in new players for underperforming ones especially a quality forward replacing Benzema which has cost us severely this season.

I think sometime one should be patient there has been a lot of transfer for Madrid that in some sense will cause challenge, but time after time the tree of progression has to be replenish if leaves drop new ones must grow,so if they decide to offload grow stronger reliable tree leaves let's be frank replacements must be bought or if not trained at least, look at Messi he was ronaldinho replacement all along.
