Real Madrid continues to struggle for consistency under Xabi Alonso, despite flashes of brilliance earlier in the season.
While the victory in the October Clásico offered brief relief, performances in La Liga and the Champions League have largely fallen short of expectations.
Heavy reliance on Kylian Mbappé, combined with tactical imbalances, has exposed internal tensions within the squad, affecting several key players. Although relations between the coach and Vinícius Júnior have improved, frustrations persist in the dressing room as results fail to match ambitions.
The situation will not improve through the January transfer window. According to Cadena Cope, Real Madrid has decided not to recruit any new players this winter, with Endrick’s loan move to Lyon standing as the club’s only adjustment. The management believes the current squad has enough quality to compete, rejecting Xabi Alonso’s request for a defensive midfielder.
The club prefers to wait until the summer, when a more active transfer strategy is planned, relying meanwhile on internal options and young talents to stabilize the season.

According to my observation, Real Madrid have one of the best squad in the world. But the season is long and rotation is needed to keep the players fresh and sharp. I see that mbappe, Bellingham and Vinicius played too many games without being substituted and they are weary and tired. Alonso should have the guts to substitute them when he feels the need. This is the reason why Real Madrid fare badly in some matches. Last season when ferran Torres substituted lewandowski, he performed well and scored many goals and that bring good results, but this season sometimes when ferran played the whole 90 minutes he is not effective as compared to when he substituted lewandowski. So I don’t doubt the quality of Real Madrid players, they need to get some necessary rest in some matches. That will help them improve

This is the same Real as last year, the only difference is, in my opinion anyway, there's a new coach. Carlos Ancelotti's experience, helped him control big egos, but Xavi Alonso, being a young coach, he maybe taking some things personally, and that doesn't go well with some star players. He coached Leverkusen for over two years and did well. But Real Madrid, is different monster, it's a demanding job.

We go down always because of Perez not coach but Real fans can't see it pls don't vote for this President, Perez don't want to spend money buying players any longer, it's only waiting for free transfer players, Honestly Alonso is right we have to sign players on January transfer window eg Schlotterbeck, Vitinha n Dumfries

Hmm, another consistent and characteristic blunder by Florentino and the Madrid's hierarchy: failing, as always, to see the need to address obvious weak spots in the Madrid team--only to blame the coach for subsequent defeats instead of their managerial incompetence and short- sightedness. That entire Madrid hierarchy led by Florentino needs to be urgently replaced to give way to fresh and more tactical brains! To do otherwise is to condemn our beloved team to another trophyless season.

This was the same problem that Don Carlo was facing with the team after several players left, they president failed to find replacement for players like Nacho, Toni Kroos, and Joselu
The problem, I think, isn't formation. The players aren't consistent due to injuries. There are many players who haven't been able to play about 7 straight games due to injuries. How would the coach find a perfect starting 11, and a good formation for them when they are not available game-in-and-out?

We need reinforcements. The likes of Militao, Camavinga, Alaba, Calvaja and Mende aren't players to depend on now owing to their lengthy recent injuries record. We need at least one center defender and one holding midfielder. The season is still long and the team is still standing good in all competitions
