Real Madrid emerge from state of emergency with three successive LaLiga wins

Despite having been hit by injuries in 2021, Real Madrid have managed to win each of their last three LaLiga Santander games and keep themselves in the title race.

With more than a third of the squad sidelined, Los Blancos have registered three straight wins for the first time this calendar year.

After Dani Carvajal's setback against Valencia on Sunday, as many as eight Real Madrid players, out of the first squad's 22, are ruled out due to injuries. Incredibly, that's 36.33 percent of their players who are currently sidelined.

Meanwhile, their game against Real Valladolid is the only match left, before Real Madrid take on Atalanta in the Champions League.

Two of their last three victories came comfortably against Getafe and Valencia, with Real Madrid keeping a clean sheet in both games.

In these two matches, Thibaut Courtois had to intervene just once to deny Maxi Gomez against Los Che.

Benzema is always there

Despite Ramos' absence, Real Madrid have managed to push their rivals away from their box against Getafe, Valencia and in the second half of their game with Huesca.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema's contribution has been vital again, as the Frenchman has already scored 17 goals, just one fewer from his last season's tally at this point in the season.

Last but not least, Los Blancos have seen their midfield trident of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric producing solid performances again and dictating the tempo in the middle third.
