Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has jumped to the top of Real Madrid's transfer wishlist ahead of next summer's transfer window.
Eriksen, one of Tottenham Hotspur's biggest stars, joins Neymar as personal objectives for Florentino Perez next season. Eriksen has been linked with a move away for the past two seasons and was linked with Barcelona before the club signed Arturo Vidal.
According to Cadena Cope's 'El Partidazo' radio programme, Eriksen is liked by those at Real Madrid "as the person to replace Luka Modric". In the same programme, Paco Gonzalez said that 'Plan A' for Real Madrid wasn't to sign Eden Hazard but rather Eriksen and Neymar.
Eriksen is currently suffering from an injury and hasn't been able to play for Tottenham in recent weeks however no one can question his ability. He's an important piece in this Tottenham team, just as he is for Denmark. Spurs have a history of selling their star players though.

Kane isn't going to do very much without the service from Eriksen, who makes the team tick. When Kane is out, Dele or Son can score goals, but no one really replaces Eriksen's creativity. They face the same issue Arsenal do with Ozil tbh.

As much as I like watching Eriksen play, heβs too inconsistent to be valued in that price range. That said, sometimes when you go to one of the very top teams and you have purely world class players around you, you get the time and space to up your game, especially for the playmaker types.

His contact runs until summer 2020. So it will more or less depend on him. If he makes it clear to Tottenham he won't sign the new contract and wants to join Real, Tottenham can either keep him for this season and sell him next year with a reduced price or sell him now to get the maximum cash. Of course if he decides to stay then nothing will happen. But the prospect of being a new Modric at Real vs being a key player at Tottenham is unbelievably different

One key issue regarding this is Eriksen hasn't yet signed a new contract and has only 24 months on his current one. So if doesn't want sign a new one Levy may want to cash in before next summer window where his value would be half . So can see him selling him in January but not sure about this window considering they can't replace him.

Real Madrid should just do everything possible to sign this phenomenal man before signing any other person

I mean we have literally no depth at CAM, especially with Son gone for Asia cup. Even if we do sell him for $200m, all it means is next window we will be desperate to buy an attacking mid and we'll have to pay double on the already inflated value due to clubs knowing we're depserate / have cash.

Realistically we are aiming for 4th I rather lose Kane before I would be willing to lose eriksen Also what's the logic in selling our creative hub when we can't even replace him.. Although 200 mill is tempting chunk of change to pay off the mortgage
