Real Madrid have been left to rework their plans after long-term target Leny Yoro decided to sign for Manchester United this summer rather than head to the Santiago Bernabeu. Not only has it caused a bit of a headache for this season, but also going forward, Yoro was earmarked to be a part of their defence for much of the next decade.
As per GMS, one of the options that Real Madrid have considered as a long-term answer at the position is Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero. The Argentine defender has been linked to Los Blancos before, but TyCSports Gaston Edul, as carried by MD, says that the move is unlikely to happen. Real Madrid had been lining up a bid for Romero, but Edul says that the €175m asking price that Spurs have placed on his head has scared off Los Blancos.
