His assist for Karim Benzema's second was sublime, and he almost had another for Vinicius Junior. Excellent again from the German, and anybody who has questioned him this season would've been left eating their words.

The Croatian stepped up again as he returned to London. He never disappoints on the big nights. It might be time to check his passport and birth cert.

He showed how much of a part he can play. His legs gave the team so much, and he offers Los Blancos a new dimension of directness that nobody else brings.
