Real Madrid have decided to file an appeal in attempt to avoid Luka Modric being suspended, who got a red card on Saturday against Celta Vigo, AS reports.
Modric received a red card after a tackle on Celta Vigo midfielder Denis Suarez in Real Madrid's 3-1 victory over Celta.
Real Madrid consider the decision made by the referee was incorrect.
In their view, Modric was just attempting to get the ball.

but something happens for a reason... yeah we didn't have a clean sheet which i would have loved the way Cortouis played in the game... still we won and that was a solid performance... modric would not be available for the next game... I want james to replace him and show Zidane what kind f player he is just as the way bale did it

I was shocked by the red card, I honestly can't tell if he did it on purpose, but I don't think aggressiveness is something Modric is known for. I hope he plays again soon
