The extraordinary rise of Valencia youngster Ferran Torres has not gone unnoticed at Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old's performances this term have been such that Los Merengues have made him one of their principal summer transfer targets.
Valencia renewed the contract of their much-coveted winger just over a year ago, inserting a 100 million euro release clause that was designed to ward off the glances of other clubs.
But the deal only runs until June 2021, and that means Los Che may feel forced to sell their prized asset rather than lose him for free next summer.
"I'm not at all surprised that Real Madrid want to sign him," Raul Munoz, one of Torres' first coaches, told Radio MARCA.
"If he does make the move he will know how to manage the pressure," he added.
