Following the absence of Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid's Tuesday training session, his move away from the Estadio Bernabeu looks set to be completed in the coming hours, and thus Los Blancos hope to welcome Andriy Lunin back to Valdebebas.
Lunin is currently on loan at Leganes, but coach Pellegrino prefers Cuellar as first choice goalkeeper, and given they don't want to sour relations with Real Madrid, another move for the 19-year-old was mooted in order to give him some playing time.
Huesca had made a request to take Lunin on loan for the remainder of the season, this was made before Casilla had began negotiations with Leeds United, and thus his expected departure to England has scuppered Madrid's plans.
Now, Real want to bring Lunin back to the Bernabeu, as they believe it is better to have him working with the squad day in day out, even though he will likely not play.
Leganes are due to make a decision in the next few hours on whether or not Lunin will make a return to Madrid.
