According to AS, Real Madrid's transfer income from academy players this summer is approaching 200 million euros, and the departures of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios will continue to drive this figure up.
Real Madrid's academy has continued to generate huge revenue this summer, already breaking the record of 72 million euros in total academy sales in the summer of 2017. Yesterday, the club finalized Gonzalo Garcia's transfer and pushed Cesar Palacios to join Fulham, with the two deals bringing the total revenue close to 200 million euros, almost double the previous best performance, and with more outgoing transfers pending.
First, let's talk about Gonzalo. He became Real Madrid's second major deal this summer. As AS previously revealed, Valdebebas' asking price for him was around 60 million euros, and the final deal largely revolved around this figure. He did not participate in training yesterday to avoid affecting the transfer and will now head to Fulham. The transfer fee is 40 million euros, plus a maximum of 2 million euros in floating clauses, but Real Madrid only sold 70% of his registration rights. Both the player and Real Madrid are well aware that this deal will not sever ties between the two parties. Gonzalo will leave, but he still hopes to return to Real Madrid in the future. Real Madrid believes that this is both a good economic gain and an opportunity for the player's growth, so they will continue to monitor his performance. The club also retains a priority buy-back option. At the same time, Real Madrid also retains future revenue potential, as the remaining 30% of the rights could bring more returns when he is sold to a third party in the future.
Although Palacios's deal is not as clear-cut as Gonzalo's, he will also join Fulham unless there are major changes. All parties believe the deal will be completed, but at a slower pace. Palacios's transfer fee will not reach the level of his teammate, estimated to be between 8 million and 10 million euros, depending on floating clauses. Real Madrid will also retain a portion of the rights and priority. Adding the amount brought by Gonzalo to the other 8 deals this summer (Paz, Muñoz, Gila, Rodríguez, Jimenez, Fran García, Mario Martín, and the recent Valdepeñas), the total has reached 175.5 million euros. Once Palacios's transfer is also included, the figure could rise to 185.5 million euros. But this is not the end.
The next player who could bring significant income is Jacopo Ortega. This player, who has not even made a first-team appearance, will be joining a top five European league team. As AS previously reported, he is close to joining Strasbourg for 8 million euros with 50% of his rights sold. If this deal is also included, the total will rise to 193.5 million euros. Real Madrid is also negotiating with Sevilla for the transfer of Fran González, Real Madrid's third goalkeeper and a Spanish U21 international. The two sides have been haggling over the amount and sporting conditions for some time, but outsiders feel that this deal will eventually be completed. More money, already very close to 200 million euros, and the transfer window still has a month to go.

Madrid academy players are the most wanted. Look at Marc Casado, which European team wants to sign him? Ansu fati was bouncing around like an unwanted child. Who want to sign Marc Bernal, Gerard Martin, Alejandro Balde? Even when Barca were broke none of this players were coveted by other teams. Point- La Masia produces unwanted players, La Fabrica produces wanted players
La Masia produce players who are capable of winning back to back LA LIGA

Fantastic strategy by Madrid, those players have potential, so better to ship them off as long as there are no signs anyone could break into the first team. At least in their new club, some might have more chances in the lineup, playing time, development and eventually might be called up again. Otherwise, in future, Madrid may earn extra money.

Those dumb fans would say Madrid doesn't produce, they only buy. They should go to the Wisest King... King Solomon Florentino Perez... to learn how to do business.

You literally dumb though... Selling a player for a ridiculous amount of money does not equate to developing or promoting 4-5 players to win titles. Like literally using 4-5 home-grown and win titles, Real Madrid would rather spend. Real Madrid have to sell or loan their academy players, the most important work is done by clubs that Real Madrid keep exploiting with those heavy sell clause and low buyback clause. Of course you wouldn't know that, they have done this with so many players like Valero Fabinho Casemiro up to the new generation of guys like Nico Paz.

So the youths are not good to play first team football so you sell them and call that great business careful these same youths come back to haunt Real Madrid. Which means la fabrica is being used as a cash cow time will tell.

Bro you can’t compare Madrid and Barca philosophy, Barca believes more in using there academy players and mixing them with experience players while Madrid believes more in selling and buying already made players. Imagine how much Barca would made if decided to put Yamal, Cubarsi, Fermin, Gavi up for sale.
Very true... Real Madrid don't use and trust their own academy products.... they sell them and buy already blended players
