MANCHESTER UNITED have appointed Ruben Amorim as the club's new head coach.
The 39-year-old Sporting boss replaces Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman's two-and-a-half-year tenure came to an end on Monday.
Amorim will take the reigns on November 11, with his first game in the United dugout coming away at Ipswich.
The Portuguese coach has signed a deal until 2027, with the Premier League giants holding an option for an additional year.

Man united want to wait for Ipswich town to win so they can say the coach is the right one for the job, why not test him again the top 4 or 6 in the EPL to know whether he is or not.
My point is I don’t want you the united fans or supporters say what isn’t right towards him, no hard feelings guy.
