On September 17, Saudi Arabia's "Al-Riyadiah" reported that an investment consortium led by a local Saudi investment fund is in talks with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) to acquire a stake in Saudi Al-Nassr FC, alongside several other potential investors.

Potential investors in the consortium include American investment firm RedBird Capital, Saudi investment institutions, and Saudi businessman Ibrahim Al-Muhidib.

A source familiar with the PIF previously told "Al-Riyadiah" that the fund was negotiating with potential investors to find solutions that align with its investment objectives while safeguarding Al-Nassr FC's future interests.

RedBird Capital, chaired by American Gerry Cardinale, fully owns AC Milan in Serie A and Toulouse in Ligue 1, and holds more than 10% of Liverpool in the Premier League.

The investment consortium is coordinating with Saudi investors with the aim of acquiring a stake in Al-Nassr FC before the end of the current season. All parties have engaged in active negotiations in recent weeks.

The potential deal signals that Al-Nassr's ownership structure may undergo further changes. The PIF is expected to remain a key stakeholder in the club's investment arrangements going forward.
