Manchester City have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Enzo Fernandez for £125m.

Sky Sports' Jamie Redknapp:
"Enzo Fernandez definitely wins. His agent wins because he's had two incredible moves.
"What Chelsea are trying to create is a culture and if a player doesn't want to be there, you've got to let them go.
"It feels that it might be the right thing to do. He wants to go work for his previous boss and you're going to get good money in. Some people will say if just keep him but if he doesn't want to be there then it becomes very difficult.
"It leaves Chelsea a bit short in that area. Moises Caicedo looked like he picked up a knock the other day. Can you rely on Romeo Lavia? Top player but his injury record isn't great. Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer aren't those type of players.
"If they don't get a player in, it won't look such a clever move.
"If they get a Manu Kone in, it will certainly soften the blow. But he will be a loss because he is a very good player. But for £120m, it will help balance the books and may look like a smart move in time."

I've seen bigger players leave a club, but football goes on regardless. Also, no club wants to keep an unhappy player amongst them to unsettle the dressing room. He wanted to go, Chelsea got their money back, on to the next one. Hazard was a much bigger player, he left, yes Chelsea did miss him but they continued life, won trophies.

He will be missed because he’s a box to box midfielder which Chelsea will struggle a lot this season without him. When Chelsea renew Caceido contract last season and increase his salary I expect same thing goes to Enzo as well reason why he shows interest with Real Madrid, salary increase and certain of trophy 🏆 even at man city he’s certain of trophy than Chelsea that’s just using the team for business and not all players will accept such

Jamie, you're right and equally wrong to some extent. If a player wishes to go, let that player leave. Every good club has gone through such a moment. We once had Kante, Essien, Ballack, Makalele, John Obi, Ramirez, Mata, and they all have to move on. A Soja goes and A Soja comes, The Barrack remains. I wish him his best.
