Manchester City does not want to play three games in seven days and is negotiating with the Premier League regarding the scheduling of two games related to the title race.
According to reporter Ben Jacobs, at least three Premier League clubs are opposed to Manchester City's request to adjust the schedule, not including Chelsea.
Manchester City's away game against AFC Bournemouth, originally scheduled for May 17 (local time), will be rescheduled because Manchester City will play against Chelsea in the FA Cup final the day before.
It is reported that the alternative date for Crystal Palace's away game against Manchester City is set for May 13, while Manchester City's away game against Iraola's AFC Bournemouth is tentatively scheduled for May 19. This schedule will be sandwiched between the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on May 16 and the season's final game at home against Aston Villa on May 24.
If this plan is followed, Manchester City will play three games in seven days before the last round of the season.
Reporter Ben Jacobs pointed out that Manchester City hopes to avoid playing two key league games and an FA Cup final in seven days. However, the Premier League is expected to maintain the original schedule and reject Manchester City's request for two consecutive home games at the end of the season.
In addition, it is understood that Chelsea is not among the clubs that have raised objections. The focus of the dispute is mainly on the subsequent league schedule after the FA Cup final.
