Reported: There's no release clause in Adam Wharton's current contract

According to renowned journalist David Ornstein, Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton's contract contains no release clause.

It is reported that before joining Crystal Palace in February 2024, clubs bigger than Crystal Palace also wanted to sign Wharton, and since his transfer to South London, this attention is likely to have only increased. 

At just 21 years old, the amount of any transfer fee will largely be determined by his youth advantage and a contract that runs until the summer of 2029 with no release clause. 

If a concrete offer arrives, Whitton and Crystal Palace will need to make a decision. Until then, the focus will be on on-field performance and striving for more success. 

Considering that Warton has already won trophies, participated in European competitions, and represented England, there are not many potential "upgraded" destinations, which will be another important factor.
