English journalist Ben Jacobs was interviewed by The United Stand, where he discussed Carrick's managerial position at Manchester United.
When asked whether Carrick had the full backing of Manchester United, Ben Jacobs said: "To be honest, I'm not sure he has everyone's support. Manchester United is conducting due diligence in case they need to make a change."
Jacobs also listed five potential candidates for the Manchester United manager position and said the current situation is "unpredictable."
Jacobs added: "The reason the situation is now more unpredictable is that when we discussed this at the end of last season, many candidates were unavailable."
"Nagelsmann was preparing to lead Germany to the World Cup at the time, and it wasn't yet known that he would eventually resign."
"Tuchel had renewed his contract. As expected after the World Cup, he would continue to coach the England team for the home European Championship, but you can never say never with these things."
"Howe was still at Newcastle United, and Kieran McKenna also had a job."
"Emery had many admirers, but at the time, the general consensus was, why would he leave Aston Villa? No one was saying Emery wanted to leave, but the situation at that club was indeed different."
"So among the candidates we discussed in March, some were unlikely to be available in the summer. Now some of them are out of work, and others have become more feasible options, so it's up to Manchester United to make a big decision."

To be honest. Man U is just full of useless attackers and players at large. They don't have a winning spirit. Attackers don't shoot, they just look for easy ball for placing. Defenders are weak and The whole team doesn't know how to defend a goal. Another thing, Corners are just wasted. Only Maguire and Casemiro who know how to head a ball. I wonder how and on what things do they train.. Goalkeeper too is none other than Onana. He concede straight goals alot. Rebuilding is needed here..

Utd spend a lot of money on a good attack that gave them 3rd with UCL football and now they're COMPLICATING things experimenting with Rashford. Carrick should go back to the front 3 that worked and if need be Rashford should come from the bench. If it's not broke don't fix it.

Carrick's first mistake is Rashford. He's a good player, but in a different frequency with the team, he has disrupted the teams dynamics
