According to CBS reporter Guillem Balague, Lionel Messi has not held any talks with Saudi Arabian clubs and remains in discussions with Inter Miami over a contract renewal.
Balague stated:
“Inter Miami and Leo Messi are still negotiating a new deal. There has been no contact between Messi and Al-Ahli or any other Saudi club.
My feeling, based on what I know, is that he will sign a new contract with Inter Miami and will play at the World Cup.”
This update comes amid speculation linking the Argentine star with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League. However, Balague’s report suggests Messi is set to stay in MLS and continue his journey with Inter Miami.
