Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim reportedly travelled to Monaco less than 48 hours after their Europa League final defeat.
United have endured a dismal season, losing 18 of their 38 Premier League games to finish in 15th place.
They had to chance to rescue the campaign in Bilbao on Wednesday, but the Red Devils put in a poor performance to lose 1-0 to Spurs.
According to The Athletic, Amorim made an unusual trip to Monaco on Friday to attend the club’s monthly executive committee meeting.
Upon returning to Manchester, the Portuguese manager informed the squad that he would be staying.
It was during this same day that Amorim informed Alejandro Garnacho he is free to leave the club this summer.
The Argentine was left of the squad as United rounded off the 2024-25 season with a 2-0 win against Aston Villa, finishing an historically bad Premier League campaign in 15th place.
'Garnacho is a Manchester United player that is not in the squad today and I have no news that will change today,’ Amorim said coyly after Saturday's victory.
Pressed on if today was Garnacho’s last game for the club, Amorim said bluntly: ‘Garnacho is one more player of Manchester United. I don’t know what is going to happen in the future.’
Amorim also promised United fans that ‘the good days are coming'.
‘I want to apologise for this season,’ he told supporters in an on-pitch address.
‘I know you are really disappointed with me and with the team.
‘The second thing I want to say is thank you. We are very grateful for your support during the season, which I know was really bad.
‘It was really hard in many games, but now, for me, we have to make a choice – stay stuck in the past - because this season is in the past, it’s over.
‘We fight each other or we stick together and move forward. Six months ago, in my first three games in charge, with two victories and one draw, I said to you the storm is coming,
‘Today, after this disastrous season, I want to tell you the good days are coming.
‘If there is one club in the world that can overcome any situation, any disaster it is our club, Manchester United.’

Erik Ten Hag sign 21 players in his two season at united so I don't think it's about signing players
I’m not discussing about signing player

You have not seen disaster yet …. The actual disaster will start by august. No amount of preparation can change or stop that.

Bro, I’m not even talking about the red card. Do you realize the referee thought it was a foul on the goalkeeper? That’s what saved us — he canceled Villa’s goal. 😡 If VAR had properly reviewed it, it definitely would’ve stood as a goal.”
Saved us how? Did you watch the game at all? Before the referee error, didn't you see the pressure United mounted on them. How many shots did they manage in the first half?

what are you saying bro...Man U out played Aston Villa, even before the red card nor wrong referee decision. It was a game Man U would have won regardless. Clearly you can see the performances improving. He needs players with the right attitude and character to get this team back. You spoke about him buying old aged players, who is the old player he has gotten? Chido Obi, Ayden, Dorgu, Cunha?

Rúben Amorim might be a good motivational speaker, but let’s be real — beating Aston Villa because of a referee’s mistake doesn’t mean “better days ahead.” How can there be better days when you’re letting our young talents go and replacing them with aging players? If that’s your idea of progress, we’ve seen this movie before.
Tell him he doesn't seem to know what he's saying, Amorim needs time and our support bcoz he says the truth how is he a motivational speaker tell us, some of those players he inherited are very average he needs better players not the Maguires , Onanas, Altays, Hojlunds no even Pep can struggle with that team don't show your hate here

Manchester United went from 100% to 50%, and now we’re at 5% — the battery’s about to hit zero, which means we’re heading for relegation.
as it's hit zero, its time for recharge

That same ETH (Erik ten Hag) spirit seems to be in him — the one that sold our young players while making bold claims like “Guardiola’s and Klopp’s era could come to an end.” Yet in the end, he couldn’t even take Manchester United to second place 🥈 on the table, let alone qualify for the Champions League group stage. Now here you come with the same empty promise: “better days ahead.” And once again, the Manchester United board looks ready to let another manager ruin the team before waking up. You’re just lucky this isn’t Real Madrid — they wouldn’t wait to show you the door. Take your “better days ahead” with you.
how many more coaches do u want to sack
