Former Manchester City player Micah Richards believes his old club's decision to pursue Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer is very wise.
"He's my number one transfer target," Richards said, "Whether it happens in the end depends on the transfer fee, but this player is very versatile.
He can play as a number six (defensive midfielder), but I think number eight (box-to-box midfielder) is his best position. He is by no means just a defensive worker, he has excellent ball control and can carry the ball forward.
I think he's a perfect fit for Manchester City, and his football IQ is astonishingly high. He's ready for a move now.
If this player is indeed on the market, combined with the current rumors, Manchester City should definitely make a move to sign him. His adaptability is unquestionable, he could be an instant fit for any team in the Premier League."
According to the latest news, Nottingham Forest has valued Anderson at £120 million. If the deal goes through, he will become the most expensive English player in football history.

Lol 120m? Football weren't like this back in the days Small teams in England just put outrageous amount on their players once big teams are involved. Back then they sell for reasonable amount. Baleba case should be a lesson to these small teams
