Micah Richards jokingly fumed with his former Manchester City team-mate David Silva on Saturday evening.

The pair were colleagues at the Etihad for five years before Richards, now a Sky Sports pundit, left Man City for Aston Villa in 2015.

Silva and his family were guests of honour before the club's 5-1 win over Wolves on Saturday evening - but nobody informed Richards that the 38-year-old was returning to Manchester.

Richards told Sky Sports: 'Everything about him was so extraordinary. I'm so happy to see him back.

'But he didn't give me a text, so I'll be texting him later on.'

Silva won four Premier League titles with the club, making 436 appearances and scoring 77 times for Manchester City between 2010 and 2020.

Richards said: 'What a legend. I think he came in 2010, and from the first training session, you could just see how good he was, technically, vision.

'What was best about him was just a nice guy. Fit in the dressing room perfectly. And what a player he was.

'Up until [Kevin] De Bruyne, he was my favourite, him and Yaya Toure. City legends of the modern day era.'

Jamie Carragher added: 'Couldn't get the ball off him in a telephone box, could ya? It was like tight feet. Beautiful. Amazing.'

Erling Haaland scored four times in Manchester City's impressive victory over Wolves, to move within a point of league leaders Arsenal, with a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola's side play Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham in Premier League games before finishing their season with the FA Cup final against Manchester United on May 25.
