Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Manchester City's victory over Liverpool will serve as a warning to Premier League title rivals Arsenal
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Manchester City's win over Liverpool will serve as a warning to Arsenal.
"That is exactly what Pep Guardiola would've wanted from his team", the former England international told BT Sport. "A sublime, dominant performance.
"That was a statement, and that was a signal to Arsenal, 'c'mon, what are you gonna do now? And that's how it's gonna be until the end of the season.
"It's going to be, 'we'll do our stuff', and they'll play at different times. This was a difficult fixture for Man City, given the history between the two clubs in recent years, and we know that Liverpool can pull a performance out of the bag that we haven't seen too often.
"This was the result that this City team, the fanbase, the management would've wanted. They've produced, they were fantastic to a man, every player on that pitch."

This title warning has been ongoing since the season began. Yet, the young guns are not shivering. It's high time every pundits respected that team for what they have achieved. They're the 2nd youngest team in the league after Southampton. Give Pep that team and they will be in bottom table now. At this point, we should all accept that arsenal is the team to beat for in the league and not an opportunist.

I think Rio is right guys. We have to be careful as City are very strong and experienced. We can still stumble on a stone.
